This Outdoor Play Area project has a target 100K of which we hope to reached within a 12 month period, the play area will carry the nautical theme that already exist within the ward with fun characters being introduced to help children take positive links and experiences home with them.

Staff expressed just how delighted they are to start this fundraising journey towards creating this exciting vision, presently we have a play area that is not very inviting, with toys that really have seen better days!

 Jill Holland, Children’s Play Co-Ordinator, said ‘the new bright & colourful play area will offer the children and their family a little piece of normality, a distraction that may comfort them through stressful times’.

A child on the ward said: 'I think it will help children not be bored, would be good to have my bed taken outside so I can get fresh air'
