Visit the charity's profileA shortfall of our Link service is that it's realistically available only to those young people who live in Gloucester. We already own a suitable vehicle, currently used infrequently for promotional events or youth clubs in rural locations, and this project proposes to adapt and staff this resource to provide a mobile service in areas of Cheltenham, Stroud, Tewkesbury, Cotswolds & Forest of Dean. The aims are:
• Expansion of existing, and proven, service to include communities across the County
• Delivered by youth workers in an environment where young people feel comfortable
• Advise and support approx 160 young people a month
• Provide access routes to other YG projects eg Team programme and involvement in YG’s mentoring programme
We've already had support from Garfield Weston, Summerfield, Rowlands & Dulverton Trusts but with your support we hope to provide more positive futures for nearly 400 young people supporting them to find employment, training or a return to education.
