Capgemini has committed in conjunction with the charity Plan UK to help rebuild a primary school in Banda Aceh, Indonesia which was devastated by the Tsunami in December 2004. Of the 102 pupils who originally attended the school, only 31 returned to the village. Only 6 of the original 10 teachers survived. The local Plan office in Aceh has been working during the aftermath of the Tsunami to help the community start afresh starting with a primary school.
