Ok - I am not pretending that 5k is a particularly long way to run or indeed that for this miserly distance you should sponsor me.. BUT I am in fact taking part in a 'Fun Run' - an oxymoron you might think – and you would be right!!

This run is going to see me have dirt squirted in my face, have to wade through a river, then a swamp, enter a tar pit, jump over logs and roll around in the hay with pigs – it is no joke an endurance test from hell!  In fact the whole thing will be so painful that they are getting St’ John Ambulance to be present in case it all gets a bit too ‘fun’ for someone... The Centre for Social Justice is putting a team together which I have organised and all the money I raise will go to The Royal British Legion ie: Poppy Appeal which I am sure you all know is the most incredible charity which looks after soldiers and their families who have fought for this country.  It is a cause which is hugely close to my heart and I would so appreciate it if you could all give something.  The make a donation please go to my Just Giving page: https://www.justgiving.com/cara-usher-smith
