Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

As a member and representative of the RCN I know the struggles many nurses go through to make ends meet, especially in these days of cuts to services and increased daily living costs; some nurses are today relying on food banks to get by. The RCN Foundation  supports such nurses, and others through bursaries and grants etc, to get back on their feet through financial assistance. As an rcn council member for the eastern region, mountains are not my usual terrain, in fact it's very flat in the Fens. My challenge is to tackle a very big mountain and raise a lot of money to give something back to the nursing staff who are on the edge of despair. I feel it's my duty to push myself above and beyond my usual comfort zone to do this on behalf of the RCN.

The money raised in my endeavour will be split between the RCN Foundation and. Cavell nurses'Trust for use in supporting nurses in time of need, if you do not wish your donation to be split or would like further details of where your donation will be allocated please contact the RCN Foundation.

Onwards and upwards!!
