Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.  I must have finally lost my marbles.  On 30th November  I have agreed to spend most night ghost hunting with local experts and paranormal investigators exploring Gressinghall to raise money for RadioBroadlandKidz.

Radio Broadland Kidz raises money to help disadvantaged youngsters in Norfolk and north Suffolk. The charity works with local organisations to improve young people's opportunity, independence, ability, choice and confidence.

Over 70 grants have already been made to local non-profit-making organisations and groups, including:
When You Wish Upon a star Charity to send 30 local children with life threatening illnesses to Lapland.
Victim Support to pay for recreational activity breaks for Young Victims
Haven Project to complete the funding for a play area at the refuge for children who have had to flee domestic violence with their Mothers
Waveney Mow and Grow, received for equipment and courses that give 16-18 year olds horticultural qualifications that will help them gain employment
The green Canaries Wheelchair basketball Club - funds for two sports wheelchairs and sponsored bibs for the players
Norwich and District Carers Forum - to finance a trip for 30 young carers aged 5-13 to visit Legoland
Neo Natal Critical Care Unit at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital
BUILD to fund youth activities for those disabled or with learning difficulties in Norfolk
Musical Keys developing Special Needs children through music
Quidenham Children's Hospice for toys and musical instruments
Nelsons Journey, a support group for bereaved children across Norfolk

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure and every penny I raise will go towards supporting  this great charity - so please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.

Boo!

About the charity

‘Have a Heart’ is the new name for Radio Broadland Kids. Only the name has changed, the charity will continue to fundraise and award grants to make life better for children and young people in Norfolk and north Suffolk. In the future we may also support local groups and charities that help other areas of Education and Community support, Health and Environment although the majority of our work will always focus on local children. ‘Have a Heart ‘ takes its patrons, Myleene Klass, Craig Fleming and Richard Hughes into the new remit and also will continue to work with our local Grants Advisory Board to ensure monies raised locally are spent locally.
