Story

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page

Caroline, Lisa, Mary, Sharon, Tina & Thereza successfully completed the Bupa 10K run in Hyde Park on 20th July 2008 and reached the target of £3000 thanks to the many generous individuals who contributed. The money raised will be used to purchase a portable thoracic suction unit and exercise steppers to stop patients being confined to their bedspaces, help reduce their length of stay & of course attempt to make their in-patient stay a bit more bearable. In addition because we exceeded even our own expectations in fund-raising we can buy some items of observation monitoring equipment to improve the level of patient assessment and hopefully reduce the workload of the nursing team too.

On a final note Caroline will continue to recruit sponsorship for the purchase of ward equipment until this site closes on 20th October 2008 & be running a second 10K at Wembley Stadium on 31st August 2008 to maintain the awareness of this webpage.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: St George's Hospital Charity will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your support.
