Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Having finished both the Great East and Great North half marathons I decided that it was time for the BIG ONE- thanks to Richard Herbert- I think! Check out Richard's page www.justgiving.com/richardherbert1 to see more reasons why I am running for the National Eczema Society. Many of the children at school suffer from Eczema and all money raised will be going to this great cause. I am looking forward to all your messages of support and I am sure that they will help to keep me running over the next few months.
Been a very hard couple of weeks training in the ice and snow - half marathon at the end of the month - will keep you posted!
2-13 so on for under 5 hours at London- windy and cold but I finished!
Richard and I managed 15 miles Sunday- no ill effects - onwards and upwards!
Managed to do 17 miles in just over 3 hours so very pleased! Many thanks to the Friends of Pendragon School for allowing Richard and I to run the raffle on Saturday- £275 raised!
16.1 miles today-Saturday 2hrs 49, getting ready for Richard's 19 route next week!
Talk about contrasting weather on training runs- Richard's 19 was hot , sunny and hilly!!But completed - I may not be speedy but I did keep running!!
3-10 for 2 circuits of Grafham Water- very windy , then sunny ( more freckles) and then it hailed! Meanwhile Paula had a cup of tea- she was on her bike- and caught me up after the hail had stopped.
Let's see what the weather brings this week. Thanks very much for the sponsorship- the messages keep me plodding!! Richard and I now have rather eyecatching yellow hats- well they do catch your eye- so everyone will see us coming!!
Oakley 20 last weekend- very sunny and VERY VERY HILLY!! Never mind just over 31/2 hours and not too stiff.
Beautiful Easter weekend in the west country- just run 16 miles Exeter Quay to Starcross and back- beautifully flat- just under 3 hours so very satisfying...winding down down only 10 miles next weekend- what will I do with all this spare time!
Met up with Richard for a steady 10 on Sunday and that's it really ...a few miles in the week, rest, carbs, water and then a little run on Sunday of 26.2 miles!
Now have a bright yellow t shirt to match my yellow Eczema hat so that should clash nicely with my bright red face!
The next entry I make will be the result! Thanks for all the support- I am sure that that will keep me going on Sunday!
THANK YOU to everyone who has sponsored me so far- 4hrs-58mins to RUN the London Marathon! I love my medal but I don't like marathons!
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: National Eczema Society gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
Thank you
