S.U.R.E. is a local Somerset independent registered charity set up in 2000 to end the need for cancer patients to travel to Bristol to get treatment. This was achieved when the Beacon Centre at Musgrove Park Hospital Taunton opened in May 2009, and we now help provide equipment for the Beacon Centre that is required to improve patient diagnosis, treatment and safety, which would not otherwise be available within NHS budgets, and thereby give cancer patients a greater chance of recovery.
