Story
To mark the centenary of Charles Booth’s death, the Booth family and others wish to make a gift to the London School of Economics. We are creating a fund to support students in the disciplines of Social Policy, Economic History or MSc students in Inequalities and Social Science. We believe this would be a fitting way to commemorate Booth’s vision while tackling some of the greatest uncertainties facing our society including poverty, inequality, unemployment, and social exclusion.
We want to support the LSE in attracting prospective students from
all backgrounds, and so build on the fundamental principles on which the School was founded. Increasing the number of scholarships and bursaries available is one important way of doing this.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they will never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they will send your money directly to the LSE. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the LSE.
If you have any further questions, please contact Christopher Stephens, who has been liaising with LSE to set up the bursary fund: chris.b.stephens@gmail.com.
