Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This cause is important to me because if it wasn't for fertility treatment, I wouldn't be here!  My parents desperately wanted to start a family and couldn't have a baby naturally.  They were lucky enough to be able to have IVF treatment which was successful, and nearly 13 years ago, I was born.  

I know that they went through very difficult emotional times on their journey to becoming a mum and dad.  There were many occasions when they didn't think it would ever happen, and as one by one their friends started to have babies, they began to lose all hope of ever bringing a precious new life into the world that they could love and cherish and make their family complete.  

I will be 13 in May and I want to mark the event by doing something to raise funds for The Fertility Foundation, which helps to support people with advice and information about infertility, as well as giving financial help to access fertiity treatment.  It is a very expensive road to go down and the pandemic has meant that NHS funding is even more limited, so every penny I raise could make the difference between whether or not people get to make their dream of having a baby come true. 

Over the course of Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th June, mum and I will be cycling 60 miles from our home to Norwich and back again.  Dad will be providing back-up and moral support in the car.  We plan to do 30 miles each day, and stay overnight in Norwich on the Thursday.  It's going to be hard work, but I know that it will be worth the effort.
