Story
All,
I'm concluding a great year of fund-raising for Save The Children in the same way I kicked it off; by running The British 10K 2009 here in London, and I'm hoping for your contribution; any amount counts which became very evident when visiting our projects in the Himalayas;
To summarise a great year of fund-raising; You have helped me raising in excess of £4200 through various activities that I've undertaken including the The British 10K 2008, the London Marathon 2009, followed by the RB Global Himalayan Challenge in June 2009.
The Himlayan trek was a true challenge both in terms of physical requirements and the elements with very cold nights and thin air at 5000 metres altitude. We also visited 3 schools where we spent 2 days painting the class-rooms, changing windows and interacting with the children. We raised in excess of £250,000. The India portion of these funds have all been dedicated to a 3 year programme aimed at helping provide a quality education to 20,000 children, in 400 schools, right across this troubled part of India; Kashmir and Jammu.
This translates to about 300 kids educated / RB trekker; which I think is amazing;
This is why I've decided again to run The British 10K 2009, which takes place July 12th here in London; This is the last planned major fund-raising activity I'm undertaking this year for Save the Children and concludes a year of hard training, discpline and commitment.
I'm therefore hoping that YOU can help me reach my fund-raising target by making another contribution; 100% of your donation will go directly to Save the Children's projects.
How: Donating on-line using debit or credit card is quick, easy and totally secure. Its also the most efficient way to sponsor me; Save the Children gets your money faster, and if you're a taxpayer, justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement are added to your donation.
I appreciate your invaluable support
Many Thanks in advance
Charlotta
