Story
Having managed to get a place in the 2010 London Marathon I have decided to raise money for Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) in memory of my brothers in law's Mum Ann Shaw. She suffered with the illness for 5 years and sadly died in December 2009.
I hope to raise more awareness of this illness and with your help raise some money to help support the PSP association in their aim to care for PSP sufferers and help fund research to better understand the illness and their aim to find a treatment to halt the progression of this disease.
It is my first attempt at a marathon and having been in training for the past 2 months I have come to realise what a silly distance 26 miles actually is and I wont even realise just how silly until the actual day so please give me more reason to get round and have a worth while reason for my legs to keep going.
Thank you so much for supporting me and the PSP charity.
Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) is a degenerative brain disease which affects eye movement, balance, mobility, speech and swallowing.
Over time PSP can rob a person of the ability to walk, talk, feed themselves or communicate effectively with the world around them
