I’ve recently been very moved by a close colleague’s twelve year old daughter who was recently diagnosed with a very rare form of cancer in her leg and has subsequently undergone numerous rounds of chemotherapy and more significantly a major operation to remove the cancerous growth and replace the affected part of her leg with a titanium implant.

Great OrmondStreetHospital treats many thousands of patients each year - children who are suffering from the rarest, most complex and often life-threatening conditions. However despite all of the great work that it already does it is still in desperate need of extra resources to deliver world class clinical care, research and staff training.
