Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page in aid of the Huntington's Disease Association (HDA) and we hope to see you at the wedding on 21st August.
Please do not feel under any obligation whatsoever to donate money to charity on our behalf. We request only your company at our wedding. We understand, however, that many people may wish to buy us something and therefore we have decided to put the generosity of our friends and family to good use in support of a charity that is very close to our hearts and those of many of our friends.
We have lived together as a family for a number of years prior to getting engaged. Recently, while speculating on the possibility of getting married, we looked round our house and decided that the one thing we would put on our wedding list was a water jug. We cobbled together £5 and immediately bought one and therefore (although by no stretch of the imagination do we own everything we may ever want to own) there was nothing we wanted to request from our friends and family. We really would be very grateful if, instead of buying us gifts, you could donate to the HDA. To be honest, there is no space in our airing cupboard for any more fluffy towels, in our kitchen for any new utensils or in our house for anything much other than toys.
Huntingtons Disease is a hereditary degenerative disorder of the central nervous system. The HDA is a registered charity that exists to provide information and advice to families, friends and healthcare professionals who support Huntington's disease families.
