Stephanie Moore MBE set up the Bobby Moore Fund in partnership with Cancer Research UK, following the death of her husband, Bobby Moore, from bowel cancer. The Bobby Moore Fund is now a leader in the fight against bowel cancer, funding research that’s helping more people to survive than ever before.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm running the Virgin London Marathon - but this year with a diffrence!  I'm running for 2 charities this year - you can support the Bobby Moore Fund on this page(www.justgiving.com/clairekingrunning) - which will help to fund research into bowel cancer - or you may choose to visit my other page to support the British Heart Foundation:  (www.justgiving.com/claireking30).

As many of you will know I lost my Dad to bowel cancer in 2002 and several of my friends' families have also been affected by the disease.   The Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research continues to research into screening, prevention and treatment for bowel cancer and will hopefully help to save more lives.  Click on the link to find out more about bowel cancer and their work.

On a more positive note, my Mum successfully had a pacemaker inserted last year and is doing well.  The information booklets provided by the British Heart Foundation were helpful and helped to answer our questions at a scary time.  For more information on the work of the British Heart Foundation visit: http://www.bhf.org.uk/about-us/what-we-do.aspx

I'm currently organising a fund-rasising pub quiz on April 22nd at 6.30pm in Wimbledon Village - please get in touch if you'd like more details:  claireking66@hotmail.com  x

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Many thanks,

Claire xx
