Story

Together with a bunch of other people I am taking part in a series of endurance events in 2007 in a bid to raise funds for a group of cancer charities. The first event is the London Marathon, then it's a 90 mile canoe race, a 60k walk, a cycle to Paris, the London Triathlon, a parachute jump and a world record of some description.

It's all happening this year - have a look at www.7for2007.com.  I will be attempting 5 of the 7 challenges as I don't think I would survive a couple of them!  And will be raising funds for The Institute of Cancer Research, a charity which is very close to my family's heart ...

If you're a UK taxpayer, please make sure you tick the box as the UK Treasury will add an extra 28% to your donation. Nice people. And lastly, if you think you might like to take part in any of the events, or in the City football tournament we're setting up, then please let us know!

About the charity

With the ICR working in all areas of cancer research from genetics through to drug development, its male cancer campaign, Everyman, focuses specifically on raising awareness and funds for research into prostate and testicular cancer.
