We all love to be beside the seaside - and at some stage, you, or your friends and family, will dip their toes in.  Usually a great time will be had by all - but sometimes things go astray. 

That is where the lifeboats and lifeguards of the RNLI come in. If you or your loved ones' lives were on the line you would want your rescuers to be fully trained and equipped.  The total I am trying to raise is barely enough to clothe a volunteer crewmember and provide one year's training, but If we can train one - we can save many lives - how good is that?

So, by sponsoring a podgy middle-aged bloke stumbling around London for a few hours, you will be directly helping someone in their hour of desperate need.
