Derian House Children's Hospice provides specialist care and respite to children and young people with life-limiting or life-shortening conditions. We cover the South of Cumbria, the entire of Lancashire and the North of Manchester. To provide our services in 2024 the cost to us stands at over £6m.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This is the second year that a joint RAF, MoD and BAE SYSTEMS team have been raising money for a number of excellent causes by riding from Warton or Bristol to RAF Coningsby (about 160 miles). We are almost all involved with the Typhoon programme, hence the picture of us in front of a Typhoon and the destination - RAF Coningsby is the home of the UK's Typhoon fleet.

We completed the ride on Monday 7th September and everyone had a great time and I'm sure we will be back next year.

I'm trying to raise money for Derian House, a local hospice which cares for very poorly and terminally ill children. Our son James (the last picture) is severely disabled and so we know how hard it can be for families to cope without a bit of extra help every now and again. Children's hospices rely almost entirely on charitable donations so please do your best for Derian.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Many, many thanks,

Fergus.
