Story

If not you than WHO

If not now than WHEN?

I made it through the Coromandel. Let me tell you it was tough, not a walk in the park!

Starting in the town of Thames we started in the Kauaeranga Valley, crossed the Kauaeranga River and I got my feet wet. There are several swingbridges as we later found out, but most of the times they don't look that safe. The Coromandel is by far the most amazing, beautiful place on this planet. We tramped (the Kiwis don't use trekking) up to the Billygoat Falls, up past the Hydrocamp to the Pinnacles, which is a steep climb - but one has spectacular views of the bush, mountains and coastline of the southern Coromandel.

I climbed all the way to the Pinnacles, remembering my fear of heights as I was half way up...and as they say, ' what goes up must come down'...well I lost my waterbottle on the way up and I did not hear it fall...yes, I was scared. Made it to the top. The view is awesome! One can see all the way to Whaiheke Island. Oh my God, the photos which we took will never do it justice..When it was time to climb down I almost did not make it, I froze with fear and panic was setting in. However I thought of all of you; AND I MADE IT. We continued our journey  to Cathedral Cove and down to Hot Water Beach, where I almost collapsed.

It has been a lifechanging experience and I thank you all for your support;

and all of my family and friends

and to Ingrid for fixing me again afterwards

The money raised will fund an EB nurse in the UK

I am very excited that so far the sponsorship money has exceeded 12k and would like to thank everyone who has shown support for this vital charity. Amazing how much support I got from Starbucks in the UK.

Lot's of people who I talked to over the month have encouraged me, some also said that they themselves could never do something like that. But you all helped, as without you I would not have raised a single penny.

THANK YOU - I will keep you updated and look out for the amazing photos that are to come
