Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. Claire Scott, Corin Ling, Penny Martyn and Jen Cameron will walk the Kiktwalk in memory of Jen’s youngest brother Spencer. Here is Jen’s story:
Today in the UK, shockingly nearly 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with some form of cancer. In May 2023, our world shattered when our family became a statistic.
My baby brother, Spencer Cameron, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer, a fit and healthy, 40 year old, non smoker. Living in Dubai, Spencer fought with everything he had, never once complaining about how unfair his diagnosis was or how harrowing his treatment plan. In January of this year, just 9 months later, he lost his battle and our family was broken forever.
Whilst we don’t know who around us will be affected by this horrendous disease, we can be certain we will be affected by it. The significance of the Hospice is more than ever becoming just as important as the research.
Please support us in memory of my brother Spencer and to help make someone’s last fighting days as comfortable as possible.
On the 28th April, the 4 of us, will take part in the Kilt Walk as team Stepping up for Spencer. We hope to raise as much money as possible for The Kilbryde Hospice.
