Lapka's Mount Killimanjaro Trek (Beatson)

Lapka's Mount Killimanjaro Trek · 20 January 2014
Take an unquenchable thirst to try something new, sprinkle a bit of passion to take on wee challenges and combine this with the privilege of being able to thank and help raise funds for two personally significant charities.........and you've pretty much got "Lapka's Mount Kilimanjaro Trek" in a nutshell.
In Jan 2014 I'll be tackling the highest free standing mountain in the world in order to raise awareness and funds for the "East Anglian Air Ambulance" and "Friends Of The Beatson". (Links to each of the charities can be found on both pages).
Why the Friends Of The Beatson charity?........For too long now a friend and inspiration to many has had to endure multiple treatments for cancer whilst never losing his selfless and positive outlook on life. It is a real pleasure to be able to support John and the whole Aitken family in thanking the "Friends Of The Beatson" for making his recovery a little easier.
The friends retreat offers amazing facilites such as chill out areas, a purpose built cinema, state of the art music zones, therapy/massage rooms and many many more.
It's hard to imagine how much harder going through such treatment would be without this kind of charitable setup, so please help contribute in making sure such a facility continues.

Thank you so much to those that have kindly contributed so far. I've set myself a big challenge and a big fund raising minimum so please spread the word.
