This year myself (Stefan Leggett), Andy Love, Nina Sutton, & Steve Dobson have all decided (well i think Steve was blackmailed into it :-D) to try something different for Charity, and have set ourselves a bit of a challenge:

We are planning to kayak the 26 miles worth of canal from Kirkstall to Skipton (), twice! -          That’s 52 miles altogether, which is the equivalent of 2 marathons!  Some might describe it as crazy, others might find it plain mad, some might call it something else altogether, none the less we are going to succeed for a great cause:
We will be doing this in aid of Macmillan cancer support – a charity devoted to improving the lives of people effected by cancer. This is a charity particularly close to the hearts of Nina and her family after her father died of cancer in November of last year. The Macmillan nurses showed incredible kindness and remarkable support to the whole family through this difficult time.
It will be a two day event over the 26th & 27th of August, and should prove pretty challenging - what with the getting in & out over the locks, as well as the kayaking itself!
