Running the London Marathon will be the hardest most gruelling challenge I have undertaken to date!! Those that know me already are probably thinking "What has she gone and signed up for now!"
This is how it all started.....At a training conference the trainer asked the group to all think of a lifetime goal to set and explain why we set it. I was 28 at the time and had recently returned from my challenge in India, so naturally I was feeling invincible !! I decided to set myself the goal of running a marathon by the time I was 30 explaining that it would emotionally challenge me but also physically challenge me as I am not a natural runner and have never ran more than 10K I knew it had to be taken seriously and that I would have to commit to all the training that would be needed..... well that time is upon me and it is rapidly diminishing so it had to be this year or never. I managed to get my place through work and have not been able to choose my charity - those that know and support me will know if given the choice I would be running this for MS - however I look to you all for your generosity in support of me in this quest of achieving a life time goal.
It's all about the obstacles you face in life, you can either fall flat on your face at the first hurdle and never bother to try again, or you can embrace the highest hurdle and take encouragement when you realise it wasn't the height that stopped you trying it was the lack of faith in yourself that stopped you!
