Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
UPDATE..UPDATE...this year's trip will also be moving outside Kigali, northwest, to the area of Ruhengeri, where we aim to spend 2-3 days in schools and communities that have not experienced cricket before.
Check out the link to see the work done by the October team.
I am raising money in order to spend 2 weeks working for a CWB project in Rwanda in 2011.
The money raised will go towards:
- Providing cricket and coaching equipment.
- HIV/Aids awareness material for children and coaches.
- Transport for local coaches.
To add to my own drama I will be running the ROUGH 'N' TUMBLE 10, an off road 10-miler near Marlborough in January and then the COASTAL HALF MARATHON in Portsmouth in February as part of the fund raising effort.
CWB is a wholly volunteer-run, UK based charity with the aim of educating and developing local communities in sub-Saharan Africa through cricket (teaching children and developing coaches). It incorporates HIV/Aids awareness and health messages into the sport and in doing so, aims to break down barriers and bring together and empower local communities.
