Story
Sport Acitivist's set up this Xmas five aside tournament to specifically help the Zizo Foundation U21 team in Freetown. Such a rad group of guys, coaches and management that I had honour of working with for 6 months. All 4 of the teams are using this page to raise money, so please support your buddies/family members in there hard work on the field by donating anything you can. Each team has a target of £100 each.
Join the movement and pledge some money to support the Sport Activists. Sport is our weapon of change. No amount is to big or to small :)

Below is more info on the fantastic cause!
2016 - 17 Simeon Hartwig (Sport Acitivst UK Rep) worked in Sierra Leone originally at the Craig Bellamy football foundation and later when it sadly closed with the clubs in Freetown that the ex-Bellamy boys moved to. I also set up an orphange (orphfund orphanage) team Famalam FC with the help of the Bellamy boys whilst at the academy. Working with them you cant help falling in love with their fun and determined personalities. But every day is heavy hearted knowing that they don't have enough money for clean drinking water for a 2 hour training session in blistering heat. most train 5 times a week with no job prospects hoping to be footballers, but with poor quality boots and balls. Coaches dedicate there lives to these teams without pay.
Now back in the UK we have started Sports Activists with the clear aim of using sport as a vehicle to change. In this case raising money to help 1 of five clubs identified in Sierra Leone with the basics that every player in the west has from a young age. Later we will address other areas such as employment and education that they lack, but for starters help us kick off with this fundraiser so they get the basic resources needed to train and play. Last week we sent 30 used boots and 10 keeper gloves out to Famalam FC but need to make money to get so many more, so this is an opportunity to do that!
