We have a lovely equestrian yard and ponies that can be utilised to assist disadvantaged and traumatised children and young people. To date, we already have the planning, the experience, and the qualifications, now we are attempting to raise funds for our local authority licence and first years' insurance to secure the launch of such a valuable and exciting enterprise.

Through education, therapy and learning, the children can progress through a journey of self discovery and development. Programmes suit children suffering from PTSD and childhood trauma and abuse, through to young people exhibiting difficulties relating to managing their learning challenges such as autism and Aspergers.

It is proven that children's exposure to animals in a supportive and holistic environment, encourages emotional literacy, strengthens bonds, increases self-esteem and confidence, and contributes to overall psychological and physiological well-being. Many children do not gain access to the countryside and animals, particularly horses. Therefore, the creation of the therapy centre on an existing, fit for purpose site, will open a lifeline of hope to children who are scared, struggling to cope and with no voice.
