Chater Dance Academy has been supporting the local community for 40 years offering dance classes in a variety of genres to all ages. As part of the 40 year celebrations, we entered the qualifying competition to represent Team England in this year’s Dance World Cup finals.

The competition team comprises of 35 students aged 7 to 22 and, due to the hard work and dedication of both the students & teaching staff, we have received the amazing news that we have been selected to represent Team England in the Dance World Cup finals 2017. The standard of the competition was immensely high and we are delighted to have two dance troupes selected for the finals.

The Dance World Cup Finals take place in Offenburg, Germany, 23rd June 2017 –1st July 2017 with over 12,000 competitors from 47 countries competing at their country qualifiers and at the World Finals. It is the greatest all-genre dance competition in the world for children and young adults.

This is such an amazing achievement & opportunity for all of the youngsters; one that will never be forgotten. We are now embarking upon fund raising to ensure that their dream of showing their talents on the world stage can become a reality.

Such a positive achievement will need a lot more hard work and dedication by all before the Teams can take their place at the finals. In order to make this possible, many children, their parents and friends of the Academy will be giving their time and tireless effort to prepare and try to raise necessary funds.

However, with such a large team, support staff and equipment involved, the task is massive and expensive.

Therefore, on behalf of the Academy, the hugely positive, gifted and driven local young people involved, we are asking for financial donations towards the equipment and expense of representing England abroad.
