Imi and myself are going to run the Humber Bridge Half Marathon on Sunday 25th June 2017.
We are hoping to raise £300 to provide memory boxes for the Maternity Unit at Hull Royal Infirmary’s Women and Children’s Hospital, to give to parents who have sadly lost babies.
Each memory box (pink memory box for girls and blue memory box for boys) include the following:

2 identical teddies. One to go to rest with baby and one for parents to keep close
2 soft blankets. One to nurse baby in and one for parents
Hand in the Heart. One part for baby to hold and the other part for parents
A candle to light for baby on anniversaries
A small bottle of lavender oil for healing and sleep
A packet of forget me not seeds to plant in the garden or at baby’s grave
Small organza bags to keep hospital tags, locks of hair, etc
‘Guess How Much I Love You’ book
A clay hand and footprint kit
A card to write a message to baby
A little note to the parents with information about the contents of their box, suggestions, and sources of support

This is a lovely way to remember those babies that gain their wings too soon.
