Story
Nicola and Luke Paton married a little over a year ago and soon became expectant parents of identical twin daughters. At 26 weeks into the pregnancy Nikki was admitted into Birmingham women's hospital to make sure both babies were ok.
Events transpired which meant they were born at 28 weeks gestation on 1st July 2016.
Harper and Rae Paton weighed in at a tiny 2lb and 1lb 12oz respectively.
They were very quickly transferred to Coventry hospital's intensive care unit for critical care.
On Monday 15 August, at 6 weeks old Harper Paton passed away due significant and multiple complications.
A person can only imagine the devastation that ensued for Nikki and Luke and their family and friends. Harper was laid to rest last Saturday, September 3rd at St Paul's Church, after a beautiful ceremony surrounded by loving family and friends.
Rae Paton continues to thrive and goes home to mummy and daddy on October 10 2016.
We have set up this page to raise funds for equipment for eight special care baby units across the midlands where staff work tirelessly to care for babies like Harper and Rae, their family and other children like them. We would be very grateful for your donations, no matter how small.

8 years agoSo, we got around to setting up a Just Giving page! Yay. I know some of you were unable to make to ladies' night last week but still wanted to make a donation. So, now you can. Once I find time to bank the generous donations from last week they'll appear on here. Thanks to all of you who have supported so far. It is appreciated more than you know. If anyone else fancies helping with fund raising let me or Nikki know. Big love xx
