Jackie boy has been selected to play for the 2005, 2004 & 2003 Young Guns UK Hockey team's that are travelling to Taylor Sports Complex, Detroit, Michigan to take part in the 2017 USA State Wars Tournament (this means his age group A team and the next 2 above B teams).

This is one of the largest Inline Hockey Tournaments in the world and it is only the 2nd time a team from outside of the USA has been invited to play in it. Young Guns UK was the 1st team to attend in 2016, and in 2017 we aim to go back bigger and better.

State Wars is an Inline Hockey Tournament held over 2 weeks in July/August. Young Guns Hockey has been taking players to the USA for a number of years now. Not only do the players improve on their hockey skills but they also learn to be part of a team and to survive away from the comforts of home. They will come away from the trip with skills that will help them in their future life, a fantastic memory and a whole new set of friends.

We are obviously super proud of our boy and hope that you might be too - if you would like to help get Jack there then we would really appreciate your kindness and support!

The breakdown of the costs involved are as follows:

YGH Fees - $525/approx £420 (Tournament fee, Kit fee, Players Insurance)
Play-Up fee - $100/£80(Includes an extra set of trousers)
Off Pad Kit - £40 Per Set (Custom Team UK T-shirt & Shorts)
Hotel - $155/minimum stay 7 nights(tournament duration)-£860 = Per Room Per Night, Holiday inn Southgate, Michigan.
Flight - Approx £600 x 2 = £1,200
Training sessions, Rotherham - approx £50 each x 6 = £300
US Car Hire - 9 days, approx $600 = £475
