Hey guys! I am taking part in the Wolf run June 5th 2017 and want to help raise money for the kristie rose foundation to help towards opening a charity based walk in centre for the for young people who suffer with mental health issues.
This is a cause dear to my heart and the hearts of many as July 6th last year we sadly lost a precious woman from the world our kristie rose Rogers. Kristie silently suffered and battled and felt there was no where to turn for help. In today's society mental health is taboo and there is not enough support out there for young people like kristie and this needs to stop. more and more families and friends are being ripped apart everyday by the devastating after effects of suicide and it shouldn't have to be that way.
1 in 5 young people suffer with a mental health problem whether that be anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts...the list is endless and they have no where to turn and no one to talk tof.
That's where the kristie rose foundation comes in! With the ideas and courage of kristies mom, family and friends they have already managed to create a children's centre in Africa and the ideas are still coming. However all of this can only happen with the support of donations. From sponsored walks, colour runs and sky dives we have managed to raise so much, but in order to keep it going we can't stop trying!
If we can raise another £500 it all helps to support such a great cause.
Kristie was the light of so many lives including my own and her memory will live forever and although we have lost her, through this many families may not have to go through what kristies families have gone through.
