Story
HDF Mercy centre provides essential care to young and vulnerable people who need it.
I have been planning on taking a donation of toys and equipment next month when I visit Bangkok with my teenage sons but following some devastating news I've decided to start this page in the hope to raise some money to help this amazing organisation re-build
Please read the story below from Father Joe and give as much as you can...
Last Friday night, a whole slum neighborhood burned down. Nobody lit a match, however, seventy year old wooden shacks – seventy year old wiring – over-loaded circuits, lights left on in an abandoned shack... It was horrible. An area the size of two city blocks completely devastated. Nothing was left standing.
But the kids – now fire victims - are okay. All of them. No one hurt. No one had to go to the hospital emergency room. Some scratches, burns and bruises, but nothing worse. There won’t be any scars, except the fear, the horror and lasting night mares of the children.
We are asking everyone to give as little or as large as they can, as there are forty six wooden shacks compltely burnt down, and seventy six families left with nothing.
