Luke is a 7 year old boy, who's life was changed drastically when he was diagnosed with a rare brain tumour called Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Giloma (DIPG). As this condition is so rare, there is currently no actual treatment for the tumour and so Luke is having to under go a groundbreaking clinical trial, known as CED (Convection Enhanced Delivery).

Amazingly, the £100,000 needed to fund this treatment has been reached however, news of a Cyst growing on Luke's brain tumour means that the CED treatment can not go ahead until this is removed. Currently in Mexico, Luke is now undergoing treatment to remove this Cyst and is thankfully responding well.

As you can imagine the cost of all this treatment and travelling is quite substantial, and while a fantastic amount of money has already been raised for this wonderful cause, more donations are still needed to ensure that Luke can get the life saving treatments he needs.

This is where I come in. In just a weeks time I will be cycling the North Coast 500 with my good friend Joel, in an attempt to raise some money for brave little Luke. This challenge is a gruelling 520 mile long route which we will be completing over 8 days.
