Weʼve raised £1,816 to get Mckenzie the specially adapted wheel chair and apparatus he requires to aid him once he gets home from hospital

    Story

Mckenzie is a 3 year old boy who up until recently was running and playing with our son Zac, his mum Amy lost her mum 3-4 months ago to cancer and about 4 weeks after also lost her uncle to cancer, Amy noticed Mckenzie wasn't well so took him to hospital and he had now been diagnosed with meningitis and is now on life support, Amy has been told he has flaccid paralysis in his neck, arms and chest so he cannot breath himself, we are trying to raise as much as we can as the future for mckenzie, Amy and Mckenzies sister Paige has been turned upside down.
I would urge people to donate as much as they can as the family are going to needing things to aid in daily activities when they get home.
95% of the funds raised will go to Amy ( other 5% goes to just giving) to help her purchase a wheel chair that will help Mckenzie become mobile and it will also need to be able to carry a machine that will help him breath. These don't come cheap

Amy has now been told McKenzie more than likely wont be home this year, she has also been told that when he does leave hospital he will require specialised nurses, a specialised wheel chair and she will more than likely need to move house, I would like to thank everyone who has donated to date but MCKENZIE NEEDS MORE HELP If everyone reading this page gave just £2 I'm sure we could reach the target of £10,000 as this is roughly the cost of the chair McKenzie will need

Mckenzie has been diagnosed with an extremely rare disease called NON-POLIO ENEROVIROUS D68 which has left him paralysed from the waist up and cannot breath without the aid of a machine, only 4 children have been diagnosed in Scotland and all have the same symptoms.
