The Voyager Project are a group of volunteers sewing and manufacturing baby carriers for Carriers for Kos (C4K), who provide aid to refugee families travelling long distances with young children. Using a baby carrier makes this journey more safe and secure for these young families, who may have many miles to travel to their destination.

Started by volunteers from Chesterfield Sling Library, the project brings together people who can sew and want to offer practical support to displaced families seeking refuge in mainland Europe. Using our collective expertise we are making toddler-sized carriers which can be used to carry small children around 2-5 years of age, as these are less often donated to C4K.

All money raised is spent on raw materials for manufacture. The Voyager Project is a group of enthusiastic sewing and babywearing volunteers offering their time, skills and equipment for free in order to produce as many of these carriers as possible. Our only limit on the number of carriers we can send is funding at this stage.
