Iʼve raised £170 to provide a new cold cot for Good Hope hospital in memory of my daughter Willow who was born sleeping on 8th October 2016.

    Story

On the 8th October 2016 I gave birth to my beautiful daughter Willow Jayne Dawes. Unfortunately Willow was born sleeping at 28 weeks. I was told the devastating news two days before at a routine growth scan that there was no heartbeat.
My Willow was perfect in every way. Perfect fingers and toes and the cutest button nose. When she was born Willow was placed in a cold cot. This cold cot enabled my Willow to stay with us for 4 days. It is a cooling system that allows dead babies to stay with their families after birth so they can say their goodbyes. I would like to raise enough money to buy them another cot in Willow's name. As a family we will be doing a fund raising event at some point before Christmas but I would like to get the fund raising started as soon as possible to get as much money as possible raised.
Imagine if other families had been at the hospital at the same time as us going through the same thing. By providing the hospital with another cold cot will help other families get to spend precious days with their babies.
My Willow has touched the lives of so many people in her short life. Hopefully raising enough money to buy another cold cot for the hospital will give us some comfort in the days, weeks and months ahead.
Any additional money raised will go to the Lily Mae foundation which is a local charity who helps provide memory boxes and support to families who have lost their babies.
I am so very proud of my Willow and I am very proud to be her mommy.
    Thanks everyone.
