Zoe is our daughter born at 34 weeks with a clubfoot, and after numerous battles with many viruses she eventually fought her way out, Zoe has never quite reached her milestones on time and we have now come to the conclusion with her occupational therapist that she is on the Autism Spectrum and we have never met a more determined little girl who inspires us to be better people every single day – she’s ready to start Grade R next year and schools for Special Needs Children are really Far (literally) and few between with sometimes little love and care for what these little people really need. Our dream is to open a school in our Town of Amanzimtoti to cater for these beautiful children including our daughter, who don’t really have anywhere to go. And especially in this town there is hardly anywhere for them to learn. Our dream is to open a school possibly in Zoes name if we can, that Zoe will one day be able to run the school herself teaching other special needs children and not have to be subjected to Disability segregation due to possibly not being able to hold down a full time job one day. We want to spread awareness for those who have disabilities that are not always visible
