we lost Arlo when he was 2 weeks old😓
Arlo was born with a condition called a right-sided Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH). This is where the diaphragm hasn’t formed properly causing the contents of the stomach to move into the chest area. Arlo was on a ventilator from the second that he was born as his lungs were tiny because they were squashed by his liver.
Our 6lb baby went down for surgery at just 5 days old to repair the diaphragm, the surgery was successful! Arlo battled for as long as he could but sadly lost his fight 9 days post op.
