Will was diagnosed with a brain tumour at 2 years old. His walking regressed and he would occasionally shake uncontrollably. By the time he was sent for an MRI scan his tumour was so concerning that an operation to remove it was performed on the same day. After six months his consultant had concerns that some cancer cells he has floating in his brain fluid had attached and started to grow. Will was monitored regularly and in October 2017 he began another 18 months of chemotherapy. Wills friends at school have decided to start fund raising to help Will now and in the future. His class are holding a cake sale at school on Monday 29 January. My daughter Molly, who is ten years old, is swimming a mile on Sunday 25 February at Oak Park Leisure Centre. She is currently training three times a week and has set herself a massive challenge.
