Story

Our brother Anthony Thorne was suddenly taken from us on the 28/10/2017.During recent years he has been battling with mental health issues that no one seemed to understand. We seeked to find the answers and gain the help that he needed but struggled to get the support to help him as a family. During the last three years he struggled constantly living a normal life and was medically sectioned for his own safety and wellbeing, on three separate occasions the last one leading to his tragic death. We as a family found it very difficult to understand his condition and felt we had no real support. We wasn't listened to and the severity was ignored until the end. He died at age just 23 not having achieved any of his dreams in life but feel this could have been prevented if mental health conditions was recognised on a larger scale and funding greatly improved. For people that didn’t know Anthony he was a very friendly approachable boy that would do anything to help you, he had a passion for motorbikes, gaming and being around his family and friends. Growing up he was very adventurous and very much an outdoor boy who did get into trouble like every other teen but also had respect and love for people around him. Due to his very young age he didn’t have any life insurance and we as a family are struggling to gain the funds to give Anthony the send-off he deserves and kindly ask if anyone could please donate anything they can afford it will be very much appreciated. All money gained will be put towards his funeral arrangements and a memorial bench in his memory. We greatly appreciate any help you can give and will release more information regarding his death and funeral dates as and when we get it. Thank you
