Hi, I'm Arron Spice

For those of you that know me, and a lot of my former RAF Regt friends will testify this, "I ABSOULTLY HATE RUNNING. HATE IT. CANT DO IT!!!!!" ( "Amen Brother Gunner" I hear them shout ) If you do not know me, Welcome to my page and Thank you ( it's all true,I hate all forms of exercise.) So, it may come as a shock to some that.........

"I AM RUNNING THE 2018 LONDON MARATHON"

Ok, Breath, stop laughing (and swearing) but it's true. I have been given a place from the ballot to run next years London Marathon. Seriously, stop laughing.

A lot of you will also know that I am very much involved with the Royal Air Force Air Cadets (RAFAC) as a Cadet Forces Adult Volunteer, and because of this (and amongst other things, I smoke and drink way to much) that I am running the Marathon. I am running to raise funds and awareness for the Air Cadet Association. This is a new organisation, that helps the RAFAC, past and present, in times of need and support. I have added a small piece about them below.

The Air Cadet Association (ACA) was born out of the former embryo charity Air Cadet Connect (ACC).

ACC was set up by a small group of like- minded people who saw a need for a charity that would support the RAFAC but be completely independent of it. Over time the original aims have evolved and a clear need has been identified for an organisation that can offer welfare support at times of hardship for present and past members on a case by case basis.

Simply put, it works like the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund, but for the RAFAC community.

Along with awareness of this organisation, I would like to raise £2630 ( or more if we can) A marathon is 26.2 miles long (dear God, what am I doing, but I am willing to go the extra bit to make my target) to donate to them to help them in helping members in times of trouble.
