Story
18 months ago a handful of school girls approached me at Bournville FC asking if we could train them and set up a competitive, girl’s, grassroots football team for them. Roll forward to present day and these girls play competitvely every Saturday - and they love it!
What is now happening within the community is unprecedented. We now have over 60 girls from Year 1 upwards, turning up for training every week, loving it and wanting to play in teams competitvely - and it’s growing weekly. With your help, the many volunteers of Bournville FC are determined to make this happen for these girls and as many other girls in the community as is possible. We need to buy football kits, goalposts, balls, bibs, training equipment and much more. A set of goalposts are over £1000 and each team kit costs approx £600, not to mention the many other costs. This gives you an idea of what we’re up against. Any donation, no matter how small will go a long way towards making this happen. Thank you in advance for helping to make these girls very happy.
