    Story

Further to my original notes below, Audrey's company Thomson Reuters have made the exceptionally kind offer to fully cover the repatriation costs to Australia.

As a result I am able to confirm that all donations will now be made to the selected charities which will be UK Sepsis Trust (Charity No. 1158843) and Diabetes UK (Charity No. 215199). We also plan to make a donation to Homerton University Hospital Intensive Care Unit.

    ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- -----

Based on many conversations with Audrey over the last seventeen years of our lives together, my wish is for the funeral to take place in Creswick, Australia and for Audrey to be buried close to her father Brendan who died in November 1999.

Although Audrey and I have lived in London for 10 years, and married here in November 2010 after 10 years of being together, there is no place in the UK that is important enough to qualify as Audrey's permanent resting place. She has many many close friends and close family members in Australia, and my bond with Australia is as strong as it can be. For me, Australia is not a far away place, it is a huge part of my life and always will be.

Thank you in advance for your donation, any funds raised over above the goal will be donated to a diabetes or septicemia charity.

For those interested - the cover picture above was taken in November 2016 on a day trip to the Yarra Valley with Audrey's aunt Fran, it was such a perfect beautiful day.

      Update from the Page owner

To everyone that kindly donated to this appeal... We managed to raise an incredible £4800. After the fees for justgiving.com this leaves us with approximately £4500 available for the charities. I have now made direct donations to the UK Sepsis Trust of £2000 and Diabetes UK of £1500 and will soon be making a donation of £1000 to the Homerton University Hospital ICU ward where Audrey was treated. Thank you again for your kind donations - I"m sure they will make a tangible difference. Jon
