In 2016, I lost my best mate Matty to cancer. Anyone who has lost a friend or family member to cancer knows how difficult it can be and finding ways to celebrate their life is hard.

Matty always loved sport and we would travel all over for sporting events, however York racecourse was one of his favourites. One day we were betting as usual (drinking too much) and we both joked that when the time comes, I would get a bench with his name on in the exact spot we had this conversation. In the County stand at York and Matty loved the idea.

Two years have now passed and I feel now is the right time to put this idea into action and do something positive that friends and family members can remember him by. I would love to raise as much money as possible for this to happen and any money left over will be donated to a cancer charity to help others going through a difficult time.

The target I have set is £500- Any donations would be greatly appreciated, no matter how small.
