Story
Carlton Hunt was our friend. He was a friend to many. He was a kind and loving man, one of life's true gentlemen.
Carlton sadly passed away far too soon, on Friday 3rd November 2017, after a sudden illness.
Carlton was a husband so in love with his wife Cathy, he was an adoring father to Daniel & Matthew, a wonderful son to Eileen & Barry, a close brother to Paul. A much loved addition to Cathy's family also. He was like a brother to his band mates and the band family. He will be sorely missed. Carlton was a talented drummer who played with many bands over the years, more known for his days with Buster and the Bad Manners band, and his more recent days as the Daddy of the hugely popular Biblecodesundays & Lorraine O'Relly Band. Carlton had many friends and fans who loved him dearly and his kind and gentle ways have spread across the world and touched many lives.
We will all want to pay tribute in some way, with flowers or in other ways. The funeral will be an added expense for the family, and we would like to help financially, if it might be needed.
We would also like a legacy to be left in Carlton's memory, and the money left after the funeral will go towards the ICU at the hospital that looked after Carlton so well and Cathy would love to sponsor a music scholarship in the future in his memory, to perhaps assist a young musician who needs it.
There is little we can do to ease the family's pain right now with the huge loss of a class act, but this small act might give them some comfort to know that we want his memory and his talent to live on in our hearts forever.
We love you Carlton, fly high with the angels, play that gig, with one of your idols Phil Lynott now! We will miss you forever and you will be forever etched in our hearts.
Rest in Peace buddy and watch over Cathy, the boys and your family.
Thank you and God Bless

6 years agoA huge thank you for your generosity. Cathy has chosen the charity after much research, and would like to say this... Thank you to all those who donated to make this happen! 💙 Your support means so much, not only to me and Carlton’s family but to the kids you are helping. Our goal is to continue to support young kids in music, opening them up to a world full of opportunities and who knows maybe a budding Ginger Baker or Ringo Star in the making!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart xxx🥁🎷🎸🎻🎺🎼 Cathy Hunt

6 years agoAs we approach the anniversary of our beloved friend Carlton's sudden and untimely passing, we would like to take the opportunity to thank you all for your donations. The fund is still running and we will work closely with some charitable professionals in early 2019 to assist us to find a or a couple of young musicians or writers who we can assist with their studies in memory of our talented buddy and keep his talent in the memories of people forever. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.
