This year Carnegie Swimming Club will be celebrating it's 140th year and I would like to give something back. I will be taking part in the Alloa Half Marathon on the 19th March this year in order to raise funds for Carnegie Swimming Club. (I hate running)!

I have been involved with the club (as a swimming parent and poolside volunteer) for the past year and a half. Carnegie is the second largest club in Scotland and caters for all levels of ability. Novice through to performance development. The club relies mostly on volunteers (coaches, officials, admin) etc. The club encourages it's members to take part in galas and competitions. The running of these competitions is quite a technical affair and I am trying to raise money which will enable the club to buy a piece of kit which will aid the organising and reporting of gala results.

The kids will love to see their name in lights on the big board! (as do the 'swimming parents')
