Carol sadly lost her long and courageous battle against cancer on Monday 25th September. It was her wish to have a bench placed in Kew Gardens in her memory, a place which held many happy memories for her and a place which she loved. She wished it to be situated on the Syon vista which was her favourite place within the gardens. This is intended to be a place where anyone who wishes to can go and remember her. As there is no funeral, we, her family, are setting up this page to enable any of her friends, colleagues and acquaintances who would like to make a contribution in her memory to do so. It is our intention to have the bench in place by late Spring next year which was Carol's favourite time of year in Kew when the bluebells are in full bloom. We also intend to have a celebration of her life in Kew Gardens when the bench is unveiled to which all are welcome. This will be a joyous occasion as she would have wished.
