Story
This page is designed to provide another means of donating to fund the defibrillator for the use of Aughton Early Years Centre and the local community, in memory of our extremely special Mum, Carole Johnson. Our Mum worked at the centre for 30 years until sadly passing away suddenly two days before Christmas. It was our Mum's intention to work alongside everyone involved with the centre to raise the money required for such a worthy cause. My sisters Danielle and Samantha, and I, plus the rest of the family would now like to continue this in our Mum's honour. Any donations here will be added to those kindly donated in person both at the Aughton Early Years Centre and at our Mum's funeral. If any excess funds are raised above what is needed for the defibrillator these will go directly to helping the local charities Aughton Early Years Centre support.

7 years agoOn behalf of the whole family, I would like to thank everyone for your kind and extremely generous donations. The total raised is completely overwhelming and is going to be used alongside the donations collected at Mum's funeral and those taken into Aughton Early Years Centre. This total is going to be able to fund three defibrillators we think, one on the wall at AEYC, one in the surrounding area, and one in our hometown of Dronfield. (1/2)

7 years agoNow the defibrillator for AEYC and the community is easily secured thanks to your amazing generosity, the AEYC staff have mentioned they would like to use some of the surplus donations to create a memorial for our Mum at the Centre. We think this is a very nice idea and would then like to ensure all further donations form the first collection of money the charity we set up will use to support the children and families within the reach of AEYC. Thank you once again, your donations and kind words have helped our family so much. (3/3)

7 years agoMy sisters and I have been talking with Aughton Early Years Centre and we are planning to set up a charity in the coming weeks in honour of our Mum and all the fantastic work she did alongside the rest of the staff there. Our aim for the charity is to support as many children and families within the reach of AEYC. (2/3)
