    Story

"Miles 4 Smiles" is CEAACC's 2021 Summer Fundraising Challenge to support children and young people in our local communities to access counselling, expressive art therapies, and mental health support.

Mental health difficulties can impact at any age, and early and prompt support is important for improving wellbeing long-term.

CEAACC integrates art, dance, music, movement, play, reading, and other creative approaches into it's services. For children and young people, these modalities are familiar and normalising, and support healthy emotional awareness and expression, especially when words/ talking therapies alone can be hard.

"My son has been receiving support from CEAACC for a while now and as a family we have found their services nothing short of incredible. The care, attention and personalised support has really benefited him and his confidence has grown tremendously."

"Miles 4 Smiles" is an opportunity to enjoy being active, creative.... build skills, memories, and confidence... and help to support children and young people in our local communities access vital support.

We suggest aiming for 100 Miles, but encourage you to set a personal goal of your choice! Think about what's right for you, your family, your needs and wellbeing! Similarly, your miles can consist of climbing, cycling, riding, running, walking, swimming, rowing... or even something arty, inventive, or creative such as baking or knitting!

We would love to hear your ideas and stories! We hope your miles bring you smiles, as well as bringing smiles for others!

£45 funds 1 x counselling/ therapy session for a child or young person. All fundraising will go towards helping children and young people access support, especially those from low income families or exceptional circumstances.

Every participant who raises over £25, will receive our CEAACC "Miles 4 Smiles" medal!
